Year 3 is part of Lower Key Stage 2 (Years 3 and 4). There is one Year 3 class and one Year 4 class. Although they each have their own curriculum they may sometimes join together to learn or for assemblies. 

Welcome to Rowan class!

I am really looking forward to this year after hearing all the wonderful things that Mrs Vickery-Cox has said about this class.  I (Mr Neill) began my teaching in Year 3 and have several years of experience teaching the curriculum and topics, which I still find fascinating. 

In the classroom, you will be able to find myself, Mrs Boddington (1:1 Teaching Assistant) and Mrs Green (Class Teaching Assistant).  We will all be working together to provide a safe and fun environment for your children to learn in.

The step up from infants to juniors is not such a big one, although we will be working with the children to become more independent.  They will take on new responsibilities and the expectations will be higher, but they will be supported through this transition.
