There is also a SEND & Wellbeing Calendar 2022-2023, which incorporates a monthly mental health focus for the children across the school - perhaps you can try some of these with your children at home :)
All children across the school use the check-in strip below at register times to let staff know how they are feeling. Children from Reception to Yea6 use the strip below. Our children in preschool use a thumbs-up, down or sideways, to show how they are feeling. Staff then check-in with children to find out why they have chosen a number, particularly if it is 4/5. This is proving invaluable as children are now learning from a young age to open up and talk about their feelings, thus leading to more self-resilience when they reach our older age groups.
