Elder Class Visit to Bletchley Park 02.12.24
To enhance our learning about World War II, we visited Bletchley Park where we learnt more about coding and the work the men and women did there during the war. We visited the huts where the work took place and even saw Alan Turing's actual office. We also saw a mock-up of where the Bombe was located. The Bombe was the machine that Turing and others created in order to decipher the Enigma Machines. A Bletchley Park volunteer took us on a guided tour and told us more about the work that happened there and how top secret it was. Some role-played men and women who worked there.
